Welcome to the activist section. The purpose of this section is to give willing members of The Zeitgeist Movement and The Venus Project the chance to access and contribute to a set of resources that will best get accross the ideals of a Resource-Based Economic model accross to Children of all ages in our society so that they may be able to have a brighter future.
For me the simple fact is that the youth of today are more in tune with the notions of protecting the environment due to climate change and environmental issues propagated in the mainstream media and in their schools. In my experience from being a teacher who works in schools and communicates these ideas to young people on a regular basis, they are ready to hear what we are saying with a far more open mind than older generations are.
Also on more pragmatic note they will be around for a lot longer to be able to push for this direction than an adult will be. This seems cold and is of course a rather large generalisation but hopefully you can see what I am getting at.
Kids have a more open opinion of the world around them as they have not been fully indoctrinated into a fixed world view as yet. Therefore, without this emotional baggage they can understand a new social concept far more easily than the older generations.
This is not a substantiated view by any means and I have no studies to back up this point of view but it is my feeling from my communications with people in general that kids can identify with this direction far more easily than much of the adult population.

Above all it is essential that you have reviewed all of the films, lectures, books and general information and absorbed it thoroughly so that you have a well sourced and eloquated reply to any question that comes your way. Not wanting to point out the obvious but please make sure your conduct is exemplary. People will get their first impression of The Movement and The Venus Project from the manner in which you choose to present it.
